kidney stone question

i have chronic kidney stones and i know all about them except for one thing: i have one currently hanging out in my left kidney. i want to know how to get the passing of it started. That way i can get it over with now, rather than a few months from now when its bigger and more painful.

I've heard if you go to the doctor/hospital, they can use some ultra-sound device to break it up so it's easy to pass. Not sure how to get it to pass while at home... I know a few preventative measures, but you're not looking for that--Though if this is a chronic problem for you, maybe that's what you should be looking into as well.

i've had lithotripsies done before, this particular stone is not big enoug to need that. it'll pass on its own, i just want to get it over with now so it doesn't surprise me
